Red Collar Rescue & Recovery is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to reuniting lost dogs with their families. We rely entirely on donations to execute on the important work that we do - humanely recovering lost dogs.
Unlike other organizations that charge for their services, RCRR offers all of our assistance at no cost to the public. To effectively support our community in locating lost pets, we need specialized equipment, which can be quite expensive. We use live cellular Spartan trail cameras and top-quality Tomahawk humane traps.
Your contributions not only help us acquire the necessary tools for rescuing dogs but also enable us to conduct community outreach through educational seminars, events and flyer support. Did we mention that since we are a 501(c)(3) organization that your donation is tax deductible?!

Our non-profit runs on support from animal lovers just like you! Please visit our Amazon Wish List and help support us with vital equipment that aids us in our rescue and trapping efforts!
Many employers offer company matching donations, which means your gift to Red Collar Rescue & Recovery could go twice as far. It’s a simple way to amplify your impact and help even more pets find their way back home. Check with your employer to see if they participate—your match can make a big difference.

Help our organization by making the generous commitment to purchase a trap package. Donate a trap package & we will dedicate the trap with a custom name plate in your name or your pets name!
We exclusively use non-collapsible Tomahawk Live Traps, to ensure the highest standards of reliability and safety. Our commitment to this trusted brand reflects our dedication to humane and effective capture practices. By relying solely on Tomahawk, we minimize the risk of trap failure and ensure we never miss an opportunity to safely bring a dog to safety.
We exclusively use Spartan GoLive 2 cameras to maintain real-time visual monitoring of our traps during feeding station deployments and live capture operations. Their reliable cellular connectivity and live-streaming capabilities ensure we have immediate, up-to-date awareness of trap activity, allowing for swift response and enhanced safety throughout the process.
A Qualified Distribution enables individuals aged 70½ or older to contribute a total of up to $108,000 to one or more charitable organizations directly from a taxable IRA, bypassing the need to take their required minimum distributions.
Consequently, donors can steer clear of being elevated into higher income tax brackets and can also avert the reduction of other tax deductions, although certain limitations do exist.
QCDs do not count against the maximum deductible amounts for individuals who itemize their charitable contributions on their tax returns, meaning the $108,000 can be above & beyond those limits. This allows donors to make larger charitable gifts than they might be able to if they were to donate cash or other assets alone.
You may also be eligible to avoid IRMAA (Income Related Monthly Adjustment Amount - an amount you pay on top of your Medicare Part B & Part D) by donating to a 501(c)(3) organization.
We encourage you to speak to your tax professional on whether a Qualified Distribution is right for you and if so, we would love to be one of the charitable organizations you support!
