Check In With Local Shelters Daily

If you live in Pima County, be sure to visit the Pima Animal Care Center and Humane Society of Southern Arizona in person. Don't rely on just calling them - they are VERY busy. It's best if you visit in person as often as possible to continue checking on new dogs that have been brought in. Ask to view the animals in the quarantine wing in case there is any possibility your pet could be there. Call them before visiting as they may have limited hours.

             Pima Animal Care Center

Located at: 4000 N Silverbell Road

             Phone #: 520-724-5900

  • Visit this website and file a lost pet report with PetcoLoveLost https://lost.petcolove.org/

             Humane Society of Southern Arizona

Located at: 625 W Roger Road

             Phone #: 520-327-6088

If your dog has a microchip, contact your vet or rescue (if you adopted) to find out the chip number if you’re not sure and the name of the microchip vendor. Contact them immediately to report your dog missing and make sure your contact information is current.

Contact veterinarians and animal hospitals in the area to see if anyone has brought in an injured or newly acquired dog that matches your pets description.

If you don't live in Pima County, check in with the local animal shelters in your area.
