When you submit a Recovery Request, you won’t have to navigate this alone.
- A dedicated Lost Dog Consultant will be paired with you to guide you through the recovery process.
- A Recovery Roadmap will give you clear, step-by-step actions tailored to your situation.
- We’ll help you get the word out with attention-grabbing flyers and guidance on spreading the word.
- As sightings develop, we’ll help you adjust your search strategy and determine the best next steps—including humane trapping when appropriate.
Our goal is simple: help you bring your dog home.
Your Role In The Recovery
We can guide you, but your involvement is an important part of bringing your dog home.
To give your dog the best chance of a safe recovery, we ask that you:
- Stay connected. Be available by phone or text each day to communicate with your Lost Dog Consultant.
- Be an active part of the search. Follow the daily action steps and guidance provided by your consultant.
- Get the word out. Hang approximately 100 flyers within 48 hours in the areas identified by your consultant.
- Respond to sightings quickly. Follow up on reported sightings, help maintain feeding or water stations when needed, and report new information to your consultant as soon as possible.
